Tiggers Epic Walkies

Tiggers Epic Walkies

21 September 2026

Tigger completed a ten-mile walk this weekend along the hilly coast path from Minehead to Porlock, with no signs of pain, stiffness or slowing down — a fantastic achievement for any dog!

Seven years ago, when Tigger was just a year old, she underwent surgery here for elbow dysplasia with fragmentation of the coronoid process. Elbow dysplasia is a condition affecting the elbow joint, and fragmentation of the coronoid process can cause pain and inflammation as the joint surfaces move abnormally. It is relatively unusual to see this particular problem in a smaller dog like Tigger.

During surgery, Pat removed the fragmented piece of bone from the elbow joint. This helps to remove a source of irritation within the joint and, importantly, allows the joint to function more comfortably. Tigger recovered well following the procedure — and seven years later, she is certainly putting that elbow to the test!

A ten-mile walk over a hilly coastal path is quite the workout, and seeing Tigger enjoying it without any obvious signs of pain or stiffness is wonderful to see.

Here’s hoping she has many more miles to get under her belt!
